WorkSafeBC

WorkSafeBC was originally founded in 1917 as the Workmen's Compensation Board, 15 years after the BC Workmen's Compensation Act came into effect, to protect people working in the growing resource industry, as well as their families. Ever since, they have been dedicated to the workplace health and safety of both employees and employers around British Columbia.

Providing education and monitoring health and safety compliance, they have an immense library of work safety resources, and have been involved in numerous task forces and committees. Their continued work to promote health and safety, as well as their support for injured workers with rehabilitation, compensation, health care benefits, and a range of other services, has made them a well respected provincial institution.
