Ariane Khachatourians
Ariane is the dedicated project manager. She works with clients to define their needs, and supports the development team to stay on track. She also helps with QA (Quality Assurance) and IA (Information Architecture). Having earned a Masters degree in Health Geography, and studied Regional Planning and Sustainable Development during her undergrad, she's got a very broad knowledge base, and keen analytical and communication skills. She transitioned to web development for non-profits and small businesses after graduating, and her familiarity with the type of projects our clients bring to us gives her invaluable insight into their needs and core values. She has extensive experience architecting and configuring Drupal sites, which provides valuable insight when working on specifications, estimates, and timelines.
Ariane's passion for Drupal is obvious in her involvement in the Drupal community. Currently, she is Co-Lead of the Documentation Team for the Drupal project. She has attended and presented at several Drupal conferences, and contributed to the documentation and Help system in Drupal 7. She is also an admin/organizer for the Vancouver Drupal Group and Drupalchix (group for women in Drupal), and was one of the lead organizers for 2008's extremely popular Drupal Camp Vancouver (as well as volunteer on the 2009 and 2010 PNW Drupal Summits).
Her main Drupal and web development interests focus on:
- Technical and End-user Documentation
- Agile development and project management
- Site setup automation/repeatability
- Information architecture and efficient workflows
- Community event planning
When not at work, Ariane can be found knitting, sketching, reading, biking, playing music, tending to her plants, and let's face it, nerding out on Drupal.
